Kursspecifika förkunskaper
Minimum 40 credits from courses (the first year of the masterprogramme) with architectural design focus or corresponding qualifications. English.
Syfte
The Thesis Course is designed to prepare and to formulate a programme for a given assignment in general and a Diploma work in particlular. This is done within respective master programme and their sub-tracks in relation to chosen active teachers in respective studio sub-track as supervisors.
Lärandemål (efter fullgjord kurs ska studenten kunna)
Generic
Achieve the capacity to individually formulate an extensive and elaborated work programme for an architectural project.
In regard to the Diploma thesis
Search, find and present relevant background information about the project and its problem area
Define the aim and scope of the project
Discuss and choose methods relevant for the problem area
Formulate a work plan within the given time limits for the thesis
Innehåll
The course contains a common part for all sub-courses concerning programming, planning and presentation. The contents of the work will be defined by the students in cooperation with their examiners respectively and the masters coordinators.
