Aim

This course gives an overview of Nordic and especially Swedish architecture and town planning from the 1930s till today with special emphasis on its social and cultural context.

Learning outcomes (after completion of the course the student should be able to)

- describe Nordic and especially Swedish architecture and town planning from the 1930s till today with an emphasis on its characteristics in an international comparison.

Content

The course is based on lectures, seminars, excursions and literature. Some lectures are given by invited guests from the other Nordic countries.

Examination

To be passed active participation in lectures, seminars and excursions is needed.
