Aim
The aim of this introductory course is to provide an overview of the major research and application areas of biomaterials and biosensors. The course provides an introduction to interdisciplinary biomaterials research and to the basic principles of detecting biologically active molecules in suspensions.
Content
This course covers an introduction to subjects of relevance to biotechnical physics, including biointerfaces, biosensing, bioimaging, and bioelectronics.
Organisation
Lectures and three mini-project seminars.
Literature
Handouts of lecture notes and scientific articles.
Examination
Three mini-projects reports and oral presenationa, and a written final exam. Grades based on UK, 3, 4 and 5.
