Course Biochemistry, KBB021 or course Chemistry and Biochemistry or equivalent courses.
Aim
Together with the course Biochemistry, KBB021 alt. the course Chemistry and Biochemistry, the students will achieve knowledge in a constructive biochemical way of working and thinking.
Content
The course treats the metabolic events in living cells at a molecular level, especially the energy conserving processes and how these are controlled. The information flow in the cell from DNA to synthesis of proteins including replication of DNA are other important parts of biochemistry, also presented on a molecular basis.
Organisation
The course consists of lectures and compulsory practicals.
