This course is mainly for students who have a specialisation towards the production or the automation area or for students who wishes to have an extended knowledge in modern manufacturing, for example design engineers.
Content
The course focuses in the term "concurrent engineering", trying to integrate the product design process with the manufacturing planning and manufacturing processes. The lectures emphasizes the importance and methods in handeling product- and production information, connecting that to manufacturing automation and computer aided solutions. The course also means to enlighten the student in the industrys development in these areas.
