Course specific prerequisites
Subject knowledge in one or more of the areas image analysis, medical electronics, automatic control or signal processing
Aim
A large design project is solved with the aim to practice the application of theories and algorithms from one or several of the subject areas image analysis, medical electronics, automatic control or signal processing. The deign project also involves project planning, periodical status reports and documentation.
Content
Lectures on project work and projekt leadership. Overview lecture on the process of
writing reports and on how to give a lecture. Projekt work.
Organisation
Course organization
1. Pre-study of project problems
2. Lectures on projekt leadership (two lectures)
3. Lecture on how to report work in writing and orally
4. Presentation of projekt pre-study
5. Implementation, testing and evaluation of the projekt solution
6. Presentation of final solution
Parts 1-4 occur during period 3 and the rest during period 4.
The project work is conducted in groups with a size of about 4 students.
During all scheduled study weeks each projekt group should have at least one meeting.

Examination
To pass the subject an 80% attendance to mandatory course parts,
and a pass on the pre-study and final projekt solution including both
oral presntations and written reports.
