Aim

The aim of this course is to give knowledge about and experiences of applied practical engineering work as well as prototype manufacturing.

Goal

The course concerns a total car concept where the entire process from conceive and design to implement and operate is regarded.

Important topics are system thinking, communication and teamwork.

Content

The course is a design-build course with the intent to build complete car in the form of a small formula racer. The student will participate in a project team where each participant contribute with a certain technical part. The technical objectives of the course are to use previously aquired knowledge to design a technical sub-system, manufacture this and to test it before and during the Formula Student competition.

Organisation

The team is organized according to a project model with deliverables, status reports and milestone reports. Presentations of deliverables to the project are both oral and in writing.
Number of student min 8 max 25.

The student should find suitable literature.

Examination

There will be an evaluation of each student, his/her contribution to the project technically, through presentations and as a team member.
