Course specific prerequisites

EEK185-Power system design

Aim

This course builds upon the foundation developed in the earlier course on Power system design and provides an advanced level of treatment of power systems. Both normal and abnormal (faulted) states are examined and techniques are presented for their analysis.

Content

The course discusses fault current calculations, stability and power system protection. During the project work, Matlab and some other modeling tools will be used in addition to some commercial grade software.
