Course specific prerequisites
Knowledge of mathematics to the same extent as a student in the third grade of the IT-programme.
Aim
The course teaches basic knowledge in probability and statistical theory.
Goal
The goal is to create understanding of how random deviation in measurements and data affects the conclusions that can be drawn, as well as to develop a tool box that can be used when dealing with these deviations. The course also gives insights in random modeling and simulation.
