Courses: "Foundation for microwave engineering" and preferably also "Active microwave circuits".

Aim

This course aims to give an understanding how microwave monolithic integrated circuits (MMICs) are designed and built including several techniques for analysing non-linear circuits and basic understanding of different technologies.

Content

Microwave filters. Equivalent circuits and circuit transforms. Oscillators. Mixers, Power amplifiers of different classes. Frequency multipliers and dividers. MMIC/RFIC-technologies e.g. silicon, GaAs and InP. RF-MEMS.
