Aim

The aim of this course is to provide the students with a basic level of knowledge on structure of power transmission and distribution systems, components used in power systems and basic calculation methods and tools for power system analysis.

Content

The course treats the basic concepts related to transmission and distribution of electrical energy. The focus is on network structures at transmission and distribution level and power system components, which are described physically and by means of mathematical models. Components used for protection and control of power systems are treated. Some basic calculation methods and tools for power system analysis are also included.
