Course specific prerequisites

Basic course in computer communikation.

Aim

The course is primarily a cohesive forum for the students following the Communication Systems concentration at the D-program.

Goal

To present fundamental questions with the areas data communications and distributed systems, with a special focus on achieved technical and social conquests.

Content

Course shall make students familiar to selected topics of the area and let them be part of a relevant discussion of the them.

Furthermore each student shall go deeper into one of those topics through an assignment. In some cases students may select a relevant topic on their own.

Organisation

Series of seminars coverring topics of interests for the area are given by invited guest speakers from industry and academia.

Assignments are done in small groups and shall be reported both orally and in writing.

Literature

Will be determined at course start.

Examination

Pass on assignment and participation in seminar series.
