Course specific prerequisites

The project should be based on knowledge from one or more courses in radio and space science. The exact required knowledge depends on the content of the project and will be decided for each case individually.

Aim

The aim of the course is to give the students deeper knowledge in an area within radio and space science, and to train the students in working on their own with a project related to current research.
IT WILL BE POSSIBLE FOR NON-SWEDISH SPEAKING STUDENTS TO FOLLOW THE COURSE.

Content

The project will be related to courses the students have taken in "studieinriktningen" Radio and Space Science. The project will primarily be to work out a detailed proposal for a future satellite or space probe project, e.g., to explore one of the planets or moons in the Solar system. Other projcts in the field of radio and space science (space techniques, radio astronomy, remote sensing, space geodesy, etc.) are also possible - with supervisor chosen according to the subject.

Organisation

The project work shall preferentially be carried out in small groups of at least two persons. The project shall be presented in a written report containing the scientific background to the project as well as methods and results.

The teacher supervising the project will be the examiner.
