Aim
Given that embedded systems are appearing in virtually all applications - cars, planes, servers, PDA's, banking etc, the value of these systems lies in providing the services in a sustained manner, i.e., dependable delivery of services. This is an introductory course developing the concepts behind the design and analysis of dependable embedded systems. The first half of the course develops classical concepts of dependability. The second half of the course will focus on dependability issues for distributed systems.
