For single subject courses within Chalmers programmes the same eligibility requirements apply, as to the programme(s) that the course is part of.


The course aims to give the student understanding of mathematics important in information technology, ability to use and understand the mathematical language, ability to communicate mathematics.


The course covers descrete mathematics and linear algebra.


The course is based on themes and each theme starts with a lecture about a concrete application, followed by self studies in group, lectures, exercises and computer labs.

The course is in two parts, each one ends with a written exam. Bonus points for the exam can be acquired during the course by solving certain assignments.
