The course introduces object oriented software development in Java. This part is mainly a programming course and not a Java course, i.e. focus is on principles of programming, not language specific features.


Part one:

Classes and objects, libraries implementation of methods, data types and operations on them, control flows, encapsulation, interface programming, data structures, graphical interfaces, applets

Part 2:

Inheritance and polymorphism, abstract classes and interfaces, basic concepts within object oriented design, design patterns, frameworks and parallelism.

Written exam and compulsory lab sessions.
