Aim
The main aim is to investigate the interaction between material and detail in a complex architectural project. Within the Chalmers Initiative this project aims to stimulate cross-disciplinary interaction, cooperation and foster creative meetings with technical research excellence. The process includes:
- creating a scenario from a future vision
- choosing one aspect and formulating a program that leads to both everyday and visionary issues to be investigated
- identifying the technical research excellence needed
- formulate and design a concept from material, component and detail (composition)
Learning outcomes (after completion of the course the student should be able to)

Content
The content of the course is adapted to current research within the Chalmers Initiative and a suitable activity.
The course starts with a joint introduction and investigation.
The project continues with asketches/laborations investigating the possibilities of new materials and details in a building. The sketches are elaborated into a final proposal.
Organisation
The investigation is carried jointly.
The project is individual.
Lectures, study visits and tutoring is adapted to the current problem/project.
Literature
Will be announced at the beginning of the course.
Examination
Hand-ins and final exhibition and critique.
