Chalmers reception for new students

Reception two times a year

Chalmers arranges a reception two times a year for our international students who arrives in January and in August. In January it is smaller event. In the autumn it is a larger event called the Orientation week which Chalmers arranges together with CIRC (Chalmers International Reception Committee). This is our common way to welcome all new students and help you into your life at Chalmers.

Participate in our receptions

Participation in our receptions are voluntary and highly recommended. They are an opportunity to make new friends, get to know your fellow students, kick-start your studies and feel at home, while having fun. You are part of a phadder group, phadders who will guide you in your new life and help with most things.

NOTE! Dates will be announced well in advance.

Spring reception: Orientation day in January

Chalmers Campus Tour at both our campuses - Lindholmen and Johanneberg

An event arranged by CIRC for the new students. Join us on these days to experience a guided tour, where you will be accompanied to lecture halls, Student Union building, the iconic Lindholmen Library, popular hangout spots, photo points etc.

We strongly recommend this event to everyone as this will be the first event by CIRC and it's a chance to introduce yourself to phadders and fellow group members in person. Furthermore, you get to know the travel options between the campuses and moving around the city.

See CIRC's event calendar for starting point and time:

We hope you will have a wonderful reception and again – a warm welcome to Chalmers!
