Enrolment requires your online registration on time

The online registration in Ladok is mandatory and is open between 9 - 30 August 2021.
Registration is self-service online process and the data is entered into the student registry (academic merit administration system) called Ladok. Follow the instructions below. It is not possible to enrol later, the offer is revoked after the deadline.

How to complete your online registration in Ladok

How to login to Ladok depends on whether or not you have a Swedish personal identity number (personnummer) from the Swedish Tax Office (Skatteverket). Please note, most new international students do not (yet) have a Swedish personal identity number.

If you are admitted with NO Swedish personal identity number

You must first activate your Chalmers Account (CID) and after collecting the account you will proceed to login to Ladok.

If you do have a Swedish personal identity number (personnummer)

You should login to Ladok with your current account from Antagning.se / Universityadmissions.se.​

Sec​tion A: Admitted with NO Swedish personal identity number

Continue to Section B, if you have a Swedish personal ID number (personnummer).

Step A1. Activate your Chalmers account (CID)

To participate in teaching at Chalmers, you need a Chalmers account (CID), and a PIN code for opening the doors on campus. Your Chalmers account (CID) and PIN code can be activated in the MyAccount portal.
Please note:
  • If you already have a CID, and you remember your password, continue to step A2.
    You can return to the MyAccount portal again, if you forgot your password.
To activate your CID:
  1. Log into the MyAccount portal with your Antagning.se / Universityadmissions.se account
    Continue to myaccount.chalmers.se
  2. You will be told your CID.
  3. Please choose a password and PIN.

Step A2. Complete your Mandatory enrolment (Registration) in Ladok

Read the entire instruction before logging in to Ladok

  1. There are several ways to log in to Ladok, where you must register to complete the enrolment.
    It is recommended that you use the first option Access through Chalmers, since you now have your Chalmers account (CID). If you have a CID that is no longer active, use one of the other login options. Your CID can be reactivated when there is an ongoing registration in Ladok.
    • ​Please note that it can take a few hours after you use the MyAccount portal before Ladok recognizes your account. In that case, please wait a few hours and try again!​
  2. You must register for all courses that are open for registration. It includes the option Mandatory program registration, ongoing with code CTH100. * (Picture B)
  3. Check that the view changes to "Current courses" and make sure this status is show next to each option that is open for registration the current period. (picture C)




















































Step A3. Verify Your Identity in Canvas​

Chalmers needs to verify your identity by checking your passport, or other national ID card that is valid in Sweden.

  1. Go to Canvas (portal to teaching and learning - course room, course homepage)
    Look for the "Identity Verification" course room.
    Please note! This can take up to 24 hours after you activated your CID in MyAccount.
  2. Follow the instructions there to verify your identity.

*) Register the option named Mandatory programme registration, ongoing, with the code CTH200
In Ladok, you must register for every option open for registration (available green button) including the option named Mandatory programme registration, ongoing, with the code CTH200. This is mandatory to show you have enrolledd and it one of the the terms and conditions in the Regulation for claiming your study place. It is mandatory and will be checked by Chalmers admissions. The registration period is strictly limited for new students. **
For your information:
CTH200 does not generate Swedish higher education credits (högskolepoäng) and the status remain as uncompleted and no further action is required.
CTH200 will not affect an applications for study assistance/funds/loans from CSN and the course will not be stated on the degree certificate.
CTH200 will not be listed on the official transcriptipt (of records) if you actively choose to include completed courses only.
**) Take note that the dates for mandatory programme registration is specifically for new students in semester 1, year 1 and is not to be confused with the Registration study period 1, which is applicable only for current students with on-going studies in the later years of the programme.


Section B: I HAVE a Swedish personal identity number

Return to Section A, If you do NOT have a Swedish personal identity number.

Step B1. Complete your Mandatory enrolment (Registration) in Ladok

Read the entire instruction before logging in to Ladok

  1. There are several ways to log in to Ladok, where you must register to complete the enrolment.
    It is recommended that you use the option Log in to universities that don't provide student accounts and choose either eduID or Antagning.se/Universityadmissions.se, since you do not yet have your Chalmers account (CID). If you have a CID that is no longer active, use the fort option Access through Chalmers. Your CID can be reactivated when there is an ongoing registration in Ladok.
  2. You must register for all courses that are open for registration. It includes the option Mandatory program registration, ongoing with code CTH100. * (Picture B)
  3. Check that the view changes to "Current courses" and make sure this status is show next to each option that is open for registration the current period. (picture C)

  1. Log into the MyAccount portal with your Antagning.se / Universityadmissions.se account
    Continue to myaccount.chalmers.se
  2. You will be told your CID.
  3. Please choose a password and PIN.

After following the instruction of either section A och B your still cannot complete the Mandatory Registration and you are a new student at Chalmers (you have never enroled previously).
