The online registration in Ladok is mandatory and is done between 9 - 30 August 2021.
Follow the instructions below. You will lose your study place if you do not complete it by 30 August 2021.

How to complete your online registration in Ladok

Registration is self-service online and done in the student registry (academic merit administration system) called Ladok. How to login to Ladok depends on whether or not you have a Swedish personal identity number (personnummer) from the Swedish Tax Office (Skatteverket). Please note, most new international students do not (yet) have a Swedish personal identity number.

If you are admitted with NO Swedish personal identity number

You must first activate your Chalmers Account (CID) and after collecting the CID you proceed to login to Ladok.

If you do have a Swedish personal identity number (personnummer)

You should login to Ladok with your account from Antagning.se / Universityadmissions.se.​

Sec​tion A: Admitted with NO Swedish personal identity number

This section details the steps you need to follow if you do not have a Swedish personal ID number.
Continue to Section B, if you have a Swedish personal ID number.

Step A1. Activate your Chalmers account (CID)

To participate in teaching at Chalmers, you need a Chalmers account (CID), and a PIN code for opening the doors on campus. Your Chalmers account (CID) and PIN code can be activated in the MyAccount portal.
  • After you have a working Chalmers account (CID), please proceed to step A2 below to complete your mandatory registration!
Please note:
  • If you already have a CID, and you remember your password, you do not need to do this again.
  • You can return to the MyAccount portal again, if you forgot your password!
To activate your CID:
  1. Log into the MyAccount portal with your Antagning.se / Universityadmissions.se account
    Continue to myaccount.chalmers.se
  2. You will be told your CID.
  3. Please choose a password and PIN.
  4. You will receive a confirmation e-mail with your CID.
Please use the FAQ if you have problems with the MyAccount portal.

Step A2. Complete Your Mandatory Registration in Ladok

The following guide details how to complete your mandatory programme registration in Ladok:

  1. To access the self-service registration system in Ladok, click on the link below and you will be re-directed.
  2. On the Ladok landing page, click on Välj lärosäte / Choose university.
    1. ​Search for and select Chalmers in the search box for single sign-on method.
    2. Use your CID/password that you set in step A1 to log into Ladok.
    3. A more detailed guide is available in the IT Portal if you need it.
  3. You must register for every course in your curricula that is open for registration now, including Mandatory programme registration CTH200.
    Below the headline Current education
    they menu shows
    "Upcoming" (Pic A and B). Remember to register for the alternative named Mandatory programme registration CTH200*.
    Once the registration is submitted correctly, each open alternative moves to the menu “Current” (Pic C).
 
Mandatory registration
*) The alternative called Mandatory programme registration CTH200
Once you have access to the self-service registration system in Ladok, you must register for every alternative open for registration (available blue button) including  Mandatory programme registration CTH200. This is mandatory to show you have begun your studies and is part of the terms and conditions in the Regulation for claiming your study place. It is mandatory and will be checked by Chalmers admissions. The registration period is strictly limited for new students. **
For information:
CTH200 does not generate hp (Swedish higher education credits).
The status will be Upcoming before you register, Current until the end of the mandatory registration period and after the first day of the first semester it will change to Uncompleted. The status will then remain as Uncompleted and no futher action is required.
CTH200 will not affect an applications for study assistance/funds/loans from CSN and the course will not be stated on the degree certificate.
CTH200 will not be listed on the official trancript (of records) if you actively choose to include completed courses only.
**) Take note that the dates for mandatory programme registration is specifically for new students in semester 1, year 1 and is not to be confused with the Registration study period 1, which is applicable only for current students with on-going studies in the later years of the programme.

Step A3. Verify Your Identity in Canvas​

Chalmers needs to verify your identity by checking your passport, or other national ID card that is valid in Sweden.

  1. Go to Canvas (link to Canvas will be activated later)
    Look for the "Identity Verification" course room.
    Please note! This can take up to 24 hours after you activated your CID in MyAccount.
  2. Follow the instructions there to verify your identity.
    Please note, your identity verification must be complete by (date not confirmed yet).


 

Section B: I HAVE a Swedish personal identity number

This section details the steps you need to follow if you have a Swedish personal identity number.

If you do NOT have a Swedish personal identity number.

  1. To access the self-service registration system in Ladok, click on the link below and you will be re-directed.

    2. Use your Antagning.se or Universityadmissions.se account to log in.
      Please note, do not try to use your Chalmers account yet.​

To activate your CID (might take up to 24 hours after Ladok registration):
  1. Log into the MyAccount portal with your Antagning.se / Universityadmissions.se account:
    Go to myaccount.chalmers.se to proceed
  2. You will be told your CID.
  3. Please choose a password and PIN.
  4. You will receive a confirmation e-mail with your CID.


FAQ - What if something does not work?

  • I have follwed the insuctions in section A och B but I cannot complete my Mandatory Registration:
