Remember

No partying and staying out late the day before an interview. A good night’s sleep is important, so you arrive well rested and relaxed.

Know where you are going and how you are going to get there. Be there on time – you will not get a second chance to make a first good impression.

Don’t bring any company with you to the interview. You need to concentrate.

There are some other practical matters that you can take care of beforehand, to make your interview more comfortable to perform. Try to explore the dress code, so you know what to wear. As we say in Sweden, make sure you look neat and clean. Dress rather a little too well than the opposite.

To be able to concentrate on the interview itself, it is also good to be neither hungry nor too full. Bring a note pad and a pencil – it is OK to have a few questions written down, so you don’t forget to ask. You can also take a few notes, but only a few since there is a dialog going on.
