Summer 2022 transfer of student e-mail and OneDrive accounts

During the summer of 2022, the IT Office will transfer all student e-mail and OneDrive accounts to a new system. The transfer will start on 11 June and will take about a month or so.

How does this affect me?

The IT office will transfer one account at a time. During the transfer of your account – which could happen at any time during the period in question – you may have difficulties accessing your e-mail or OneDrive. However, DO NOT PANIC. Just try again laterAll your files and all your e-mail messages will be transferred. Automatically. No data will be lost.

Is there anything I need to do?

Before the transfer takes place you don't need to do anything. Everything will happen automatically.

Starting 11 June the following applies:

  • OneDrive: Your old account will remain, but will be read-only. Your new account will be open for file storage, but may initially be completely empty, pending the transfer of your older files.
  • E-mail: When you are no longer able to sign in using CID@net.chalmers.se, use CID@chalmers.se.
