
The course is organized by the Institute of Geomechanics and Underground Technology and structured as follows:
First, students will participate in a two-day introductory course delivered via Zoom on 18-19 July 2022. During these two days, the principles behind machine learning are discussed and students will learn about the tools they will work with, which is mainly Python code written in Jupyter Notebooks.
During the week on campus, 25-29 July 2022, students will apply their newly acquired theoretical knowledge in a hackathon-style workshop. Besides the coursework, social events such as BBQs and local tours will be held.
The application is open to master's students in engineering, geophysics, computer science, and applied mathematics and participating students will receive an Erasmus+ scholarship.
