Rädda Ägget (Save the Egg)
In the beginning of November every year, Chalmers holds a competition for students in the 5th grade of primary school – called Rädda Ägget
(Save the Egg). The challenge is to create the best construction to save an egg that will fall from 15 meters above the ground, without breaking the egg. The competition is held at Chalmers Campus Johanneberg and divided into two parts. First, the participants test the construction in MC2 building and then the second part they will test different technical and scientific experiments in Betonghallen. Every year, we are looking for students who like to inspire children in natural science, engineering and mathematics through experiments and workshops.
DigiLab – Digital workshop for school students
During Vetenskapfestivalen (The Science Festival) in April, Chalmers arranges a DigiLab - a digital workshop for school students within the age of 10-12 years old in Lindholmen. The goal is to stimulate interest for engineering. Students will get the chance to solve assignments and build an application with the help of electronics, censors and simple programming.
