Credits for previous education

It is possible to obtain credits for courses from your undergraduate programme in your doctoral studies equivalent to a maximum of 30 HE credits. This concerns PhD students who are admitted with at least 270 HE credits from their undergraduate programme. PhD students who are admitted with 240 HE credits from their undergraduate degree may not use any higher-education (HE) credits from such. For those with between 240 and 270 HE credits, a gradual increase is made as to what may be credited. Within this framework, the examiner shall decide how many and which undergraduate degree credits may be used.

The rules for obtaining credits from previous education may differ at your department. Talk to the Vice Head for Doctoral Studies for details.
