Seminar about Wikipedia for researchers

Welcome to an inspiring lunch seminar on September 15 about how you can use Wikipedia for research communication.

Wikipedia is one of the 10 most visited websites in the world. Using Wikipedia as a channel to disseminate your research results is easy and targets a broad audience.

Take the opportunity to listen to Olle Terenius, a malaria researcher based at Uppsala University working on bacteria in mosquitoes. In a world full of fake news, he travels to Swedish universities to encourage researchers to participate in making Wikipedia an up-dated and accurate source of information for everyone. Oskar Broberg, researcher in Economic History, with focus on Business History, at the University of Gothenburg, will share his experiences about the Wikipedia project at the Department of Economy and Society, and communication officers Annika Koldenius and Anita Fors will give information about what kind of support you can get from GU/Chalmers.

When: 2017-09-15 11:45 - 13:15
Where: School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg, Vasagatan 1, CG-room

A vegetarian sandwich and water will be served from 11.45.
Please note that the seminar starts at 12.15 sharp.
Register here at the latest on 11 September.
