Pär Pettersson: Why is fuel consumption of cars and trucks hard to predict?

​When a new car is made, the manufacturer must report how much CO2 its emits per kilometer, equivalent to its fuel consumption. But when the car is used by the customers, the actual value is often quite a bit larger. For trucks, the case is even worse. In this talk we will discuss why it is difficult to predict fuel consumption and what can be done about it.
